    Askews and Holts dynamic approach has enabled them to develop innovative solutions that keep them at the forefront of modern library supply. They provide a complete package of sourcing, selection support, cataloguing, shelf-ready processing, promotional support and management reporting.Through the partnership libraries are able to acquire items electronically from Askews and Holts through EDI. Additionally the partnership has established integration with Askews and Holts eBook service to enable users to login to their eBook service using their standard library login credentials through Connect for Askews and Holts.

  • Bridgeall Libraries: SmartSM

    details

    Bridgeall Libraries’ SmartSM is a web-based stock performance improvement solution using evidence to enhance the full stock lifecycle from stock procurement, through stock management to stock promotion.
     
    Connect for SmartSM provides the supported method to extract the required usage data to enable SmartSM to function. We have completed comprehensive analysis of the SmartSM adaptor to ensure it will not adversely affect the Alto database server.
     
    The SmartSM adaptor is installed by Bridgeall as it may need additional configuring dependent on the customer’s local settings.

    The EBSCO Discovery Service creates a unified, customised index of an organisation's information resources.     Connect for EBSCO provides a fully supported method for exporting bibliographic and holdings data from Capita’s LMS to the EBSCO Discovery Service.
  • InsightMedia: iCAM

    Insight Media’s iCAM is a range of systems and modules allowing you to manage, control and analyse computer, hotspot and resource usage in a variety of environments. Connect for iCAM enables a borrower to login into the iCAM product by authenticating their borrower credentials stored within Capita’s Library Management System, Alto.

    MyPC is the ultimate solution for computer access management.
     
    MyPC is widely used in education and public libraries, helping librarians and IT managers have complete control over bookings and user sessions in open access areas. With hundreds of customers worldwide, MyPC continues to grow in development and ITS has dedicated teams working on the solution to implement new ideas built upon customer feedback.
     
    The latest release of the MyPC computer booking and access management solution introduces support for Connect for MyPC (version 2). This supports authentication, groups, fines and overdue items. Connect for MyPC further enhances the flexibility of MyPC and allows borrowers to seamlessly integrate computer bookings within their organisation.
  • Lorensbergs: netloan

    A PC and print management solution in one: netloan is used by over 90 local authorities and currently manages thousands of public access PCs in UK libraries. Lorensbergs also provides a secure Wi-Fi network for libraries using the netloan authentication software.
     
    Connect for netloan enables a borrower to login into the netloan product by authenticating their borrower credentials stored within Capita’s Library Management System, Alto.
  • Nielsen Book’s LibScan

    details

    Nielsen Book's LibScan service uses tried and trusted methodology previously gained from BookScan and BookScan for libraries, the latter already a favourite in libraries.
     
    LibScan collects, aggregates and analyses public library borrowing data from participants (to date 42, of which 12 are Capita LMS users). Participation is FREE and contributing authorities have access to the data via an online service. This allows libraries to analyse their own borrowing data, compare at authority level and against national trends, informing purchasing and promotion decisions. The more libraries participating, the more useful and relevant the data becomes.
     
    Connect for LibScan provides the supported method to extract the required usage data to enable LibScan to function adequately.
  • oMbiel: campusM™ - university resources go mobile

    campusM™ developed by oMbiel has become the leading mobile application for students, providing an integrated suite of university services on the iPhone, iPod Touch and other mobile devices.
     
    Connect for campusM seamlessly retrieves borrower information from Capita’s Library Management System so students can access library information specific to themselves, including their reservations awaiting collection, library fines and items on loan while on the move.
  • OverDrive

    Connect for Overdrive enables library borrowers to login to your digital library reserve system using the same login credentials used with Prism.

    Through the new partnership between Serials Solutions and Capita, data can now be automatically exported from Capita’s LMS to Summon in the form of “Connect for Summon”. This provides a more personalised service for your users.
     
    Libraries find the Summon service easy to set up and integrate into their current library operations.
  • Solus

    SOLUS enables organisations to centralise their digital communication and broadcast content to different devices and social media platforms. SOLUS provides the smartphone application, Your Library App which allows enables your residents to access the library catalogue to search for and reserve books, CDs and DVDs. Additionally users can scan a barcode on a book to see if it's available in the library. Connect for Solus enables borrowers to search the library catalogue and reserve items directly from the application. Additionally, the integration enables borrowers to manage their library account to renew loans and see the status of reservations.

    Talis Aspire Campus Edition is an intuitive system for managing course resource lists across a university. It simplifies the production and ongoing updating of lists for academics, and provides students with a vastly superior learning experience.
     
    With Connect for Talis Aspire Campus Edition, academics and students can view the library availability of listed items. Librarians can then liaise with academics to align library purchasing with prescribed resource needs, through real-time integration with the Alto LMS.

    txttools allows you to send text messages to multiple people in an instant using your computer.
     
    Connect for txttools enables automated SMS communications to be sent to users to notify them about overdue, under-due and recall loan items, as well as reservations awaiting collections. All messages are sent automatically, without the need for human intervention, and an email is sent with an update detailing the messages sent per day.
