Capita to manage and mobilise Swan Housing support services

Capita Software Services has been selected by Swan Housing Group to provide the web-based application, Capita Support.

This will enable the Group and its service users to benefit from personalised instant access to housing and support services. The software will also assist Swan Housing in improving service delivery and developing a productive and efficient mobile workforce, using digital pens to capture handwritten notes on handheld computers.

The seven-year contract will see Swan Housing offer its service users access to an end-to-end housing service, including support with the assessment procedure. Its support officers will use digital pens in conjunction with Capita Support to complete all housing support plans and assessments. The information collected will be fed into one central point, holding all service user and service information. The system will enable third party agencies to refer to and have direct access to the system to streamline the housing process and contribute towards the Supporting People agenda. This will encourage a collaborative approach and improved visibility of how citizens are being supported.

Shalene Guildford, support services manager at Swan Housing commented, “Our Supported Housing Team provides support to a wide range of service users within their homes. To meet the needs of our customers and ensure a high quality of service is delivered we are constantly exploring and investing in new leading edge technology available for remote working. We recently carried out an evaluation exercise of our IT requirements and Capita’s innovative system most closely matched our requirements.”
