Capita has been selected as a supplier for the Local Government Software Application Solutions Framework following a competitive tender.
The new framework will speed up the procurement process specifically for local government by offering access to a shortlist of pre-approved suppliers of software and support services. Organisations will also benefit from pricing advantages when purchasing a range of software solutions from Capita for verticals including revenues and benefits, housing, and library management. The agreement is for a period of two years, with the option to extend for two further years.
“This new procurement framework affords local government the flexibility it needs when it comes to investing in a range of software that will help them to deliver more services to the public for less. It also gives organisations faster access to a broader range of solutions and support services than before,” said Ian Gates, divisional director of Capita’s software services business. “We already work with over 300 local authorities and this selection further reinforces our credentials as a quality, trustworthy, technical and commercial partner.”
