Our history

Capita's software services division is a leading supplier of revenues, benefits, payment management, e-government and integrated housing management systems within the public sector and social housing marketplace. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Capita plc, we have seen strong and consistent growth over the past few years, with over 500 installations in local government and social housing organisations.

The Capita software story

Capita's software operation (fomerly Capita Software Services, and previously Academy Information Systems), was established in 1994 by the acquisition of West Wiltshire Software Ltd. From inception, our aim was to create excellence in software product development with a focus on the markets of government, and related bodies.
